| * Thank you to Jane LaFazio for creating the original artwork for Moonlight Masquerade 2008. Moonlight Masquerade 2008 October 4, 2008 This year’s theme is “Setting Sail.” Life is a journey, and childhood is when you set your course. The Escondido Children’s Museum arose to serve families and schools with wholesome, constructive and creative learning opportunities available nowhere else. A small staff works with many volunteers to bring visitors terrific value with unique exhibits and hands-on programs year-round. We believe that investing our energy as busy adults into the incredible potential in every child is the best investment around. Won’t you join us? Buffalo’s Breath Costumes is again offering a 10% discount and consulting about your costume for the Moonlight Masquerade. We suggest you reserve your costume early! If you purchase your ticket or table, we will note your costume selection on the website, so people know that identity is “taken.” Call Buffalo’s Breath Costumes at 760-739-9800. They are located north of the 78 Freeway on the east side of the street. 630 Nordahl. San Marcos, 92069. Since our museum features natural and social science, and since we’re an interactive museum, our annual fundraiser is the most creative one around San Diego – a masquerade ball! Held on the first Saturday in October, just when we’re starting to think about Halloween and the holidays, we throw a great bash, with terrific food, drink, auction items and best of all, the company of like-minded people devoted to kids. This year, we showcase our mission and facility better than ever before by offering child care at the museum during the gala. Our silent auction will take place next door to the museum, and dinner will be right around the corner, so guests can see where we are and what we do. The sooner you buy your tickets, the sooner you can “sign up for” the costume identities listed, which guarantees your creativity and fashion statement will shine unrivaled. See you October 4!
